Went to sams parent teachers conferences , they all had high praise for him , thought he was great and doing well too !His driving is going well ( much prayer from Mum ) Got two new starbucks mugs for our ever growing collection , libby got one from berlin and taylor brought us one from Maiu , we will need a new shelf soon

Since we got back on Sunday Mike has not been well thought it was the flu bit it was an infection . He got antibiotics from the doctors and is so MUCH better now. Mike is rarely ill but when he is it is always dramatic.
Had a group of life shape trainers for supper at our house tonite . we sat out by the firepit . the weather was perfect

Well the sun did come out today and i was able to do that very English thing of hanging the washing out !! In arizona it dries before you have sat down here 6hrs later still damp!!!! Saw lots of old friends today always good to catch up and chat . Will take photos tomorrow so this blog is interesting

well we are here in freezing cold sheffield its great to see everyone and love being with the girls. The house always seems incredibly tiny and the roads very narrow especially if your daughters driving. The trip to see mike's dad was good if brief but it gave me a chance to read a new book on the train and look at all the country side too!!!! missing mike but he is now in Seattle with a team doing a conference.

Well we are off bags packed ,ready to go . i love to travel and so does Sam , he is VERY easy!!!
just downloaded Sting and Cheryl crow's new single (really like it)along with a new album by The Frey (never heard of but sam likes it so we will see)
Mike has had areally good time with all the seniors and now is off to n. carolina to do a conference on Lifeshapes . we will pass in the air!!!!

Freakonomics

Really enjoyed this book I have finished it is freakonomics I really enjoyed the chapter about naming your children any one who knows me knows that I have for a long time been fascinated by what people call their kids. the other chapter on what makes a good parent is also enlightening .
Got the bags out ready to pack ,passport is HERE with the standard dreadful picture . Leave tomorrow onthe BA flight. Charlie off to the trainers .really looking forward to seeing the girls and my mum . beccy meeting us at manchester in her little car .

Getting ready to go to Uk on friday , reading a new book called freakonomics very good so far ,hope I can finish it before friday it is abit big and heavy to take on the plane . i will watch a downloaded series LOST on my ipod instead( mike recommends it) for passing the time in airports!!!!

We have had snow here in Phoenix today in march amazing what weird weather !!!! it is preparing me and sam for Sheffield next weekend!!!

Its really raining

Its really raining today and we can see snow on the mountains very unusual for Arizona!!! we went looking for lacrosse equipment for sam down in scotsdale in a warehouse somewhere . it felt very like looking for the Lacrosse warehouse in stockport on a wet saturday in Sheffield. funny how weather makes such a difference. I even put the heating on first time this year!!!!

Mike has gone off to S. carolina for a week to do The Seniors retreat at dover planattion he is also preacing at st andrews, teacing at all saints and doing a conference in Paw creek so not that restful . hope his travel is better this time now Canada is not involved!!!

Been looking after Tia (jo and Chris's little girl ) she is so sweet had lots of fun with her. she looks just like jo and has her loud voice too!!!! Actually had a little rain today !! Mike left his top down!!!

This is sam and his youth pastor Rob being silly as ever . sam loves the youth work here and gets on very well with the leaders. he is a leader himself of a junior high group , His arm is all better and after physio this week will be back playing lacrosse !!!!

Having a good weekend went to cinema saw Firewall a good thriller and out for dinner last night to one of our favorite restaurants The TONTO GRILL . you would nevr guess we were in cowboy country.
we have a pastor from India staying with us that John and alex know to connect and talk about Lifeshapes and the Order of Mission .so that is fun

Well Mike has returned home and is back for a week before going to South Carolina and The seniors retreat at Dover plantation.
I decided to do some gardening this morning . gardening in arizona requires heavy duty gloves and Shears for all the really sharp plants that grow back way too fast !!! any way its done and looking beautiful.
Going to go off on my lovely bike now to run errnds I may stop at starbuck on the way for a Vanille latte (very good )!!!!
