new things we have been doing

Its been a while since I last posted so whats new around here.
Brenda Milton from sheffield has been and gone . we had great time with her and visited tuscon and the desert museum which was really good and well worth a visit . Took some photos which will follow.

Mike is in Omaha and its all going well with the hub church there.

Sam has finshed his soccer season without injury or incident an amazing feat .
The sun has come back so I have been sewing new covers for the garden furniture and generally spring cleaning the house and adding window treatments etc.

Mum is here for 3 more weeks -untill all the grey fog dissappears from Yorkshire !!!

Libby has her flights booked for a mission trip with soul survivor to S . Africa

Beccy has been working hard on getting our next conference up and running and generally hanging out with friends and drinking coffeegoing to movies etc. she is getting more involved with the youth and Y adult work here at Joy and starting a small group etc .

We all went to see Chris tomlin and matt redman in a worship concert this week which was fantastic. Really great to see Matt again and hear some old favorites and to sing some new ones . Had a really good time reminded us all of New wine and Souls survivor although it was with out the soggy field smell !!!

back in town

Its been freezing here we have had frost and all the plants have died of shock!!!!!!!!. the pool nearly froze over and became a skating rink
Mike is back from his travels and all went well in sheffield . he had a good time meeting up with great friends and members of the Order .
We are all gearimg up for the new year 2007and all that it might hold for each one of us.
I have brenda and my mum making yorkshire puddings and cleaning window !!! well they are not on holiday !!!!

Today is my Birthday

I am 48 today that sounds old but feels young . It feels like I have been in my 40's forages not sure why. maybe because we pack so much into each year!! This year I will have children that turn17,21 and 23 which is a good and I like them at each age but I do like them as adults !!! I am going to spend some time today using my new flash camera Mike bought me as my birthday present whether i can get them on the blogg later remians to be seen.

Libby has arrived in very wet Sheffield todayand my mum and Brenda will arrive tonite in beautiful sunny Phoenix .
Libby was overweight with her bags as ever and got charged for this privilidge for the first time ever!!!

Mike is now back in cold wet rainy Sheffield with some fab friends doinga Baptist conference and seeing Anders Michael about planting churches in Europe and Inducting permenant members of The Order of Mission on saturday.
Jo and I have been doing Mike's calender for 2007 and 2008
2007 -he is away 26 weeks which is 6 less than last year so thats great and there is a good rhythm to it too . One of us always tries to travel with him to make the whole thing bearable for him.
Libby travels back to sheffield too on Wednesday and then is away on astudent leadership weekend . She will be back to hear her dad preach at Philly on Sunday evening.
She is of course going back with her usual overweight suitcases and a tan !!!!

Back home now after great skiing holiday in Colorado , really good this year no broken bones , no mountain sickness so that was brilliant ,
Back home now to take down the Christmas tree and loads of washing but at least its sunny !!!! will post new photos and we took a video whilst away of us all being silly !!! so watch this space , Happy 2007 its going to be great
